Danielle Hampton, blogger behind Sometimes Sweet, gave us first look into her fresh new home office space. We jumped at the chance to ask her a few Q's:
How would you describe your personal style?
My personal style could be described as minimal and fresh. I like functional pieces that add beauty to our spaces, and I avoid things feeling cluttered or overdone. Most of all, I like our home to feel airy and open. Like many thirty-somethings, over the years I've learned that it's best to invest in quality pieces rather than "quick buy" furniture, so that's been a big change in our home as we've grown up and into our own personal styles.
I'm almost 8 months pregnant with our third child (our first girl!) so I'm currently immersed in all things nursery planning, and coveting shades of pink, creams, and walnut wood tones.
My favorite part besides the chandelier would absolutely be my desk! I love it so much. I had been hunting for a glass topped desk forever and when I found this one via West Elm I fell in love and lucky for me, it was on sale!
"I joke with my husband that I never knew I could love a light fixture so much! I think it's just such a beautiful, understated piece that ties together the whole room. It looks gorgeous both lit and unlit, and I feel like it really adds a bit of everyday glamour to my work-from-home life."
Simple changes such as switching out your lighting, or adding a new rug have the potential to make an inspiring difference in your home work space. Thank you Danielle for taking the time to share your personal thoughts, and your beautiful space!
